Made in America during the early to mid 1970s, this striking A-line dress is made for the dance floor or a glitzy event. Heavily sequinned in stripes of gold, silver and bronze on elegant coffee-brown crepe, it has long shimmering sleeves and a playful short hemline. The V-neckline has a slight wrap-over front. Fully lined in the bodice in a viscose blend, the skirt has a separate taupe cotton lining for comfort and fastens at the back with a tonal zip. In wonderful vintage condition for a piece of its age and intricacy with no issues of any note or sequin loss. Unlabelled but the quality of this piece is evident in the choice of fabrics and attention to detail in the design. Almost certainly made for a high end department store and a good fit for sizes up to sizes UK 10 or US 6. Our model is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in (180cm) and this dress fit her well.
